Yesterday morning we went to Ludvika to make some shopping. It was very foggy in and around Ludvika, so we took a trip to a nearby old mine, Lekombergs gruva to see the view from there. Usually you’re having a great view over the lake Väsman, but today there were only fog everywhere:

It feels like this blog has turned to a Sky Watch Friday blog only, but that’s not intentionally. I’ve been pretty busy with work, and I don’t have had the right inspiration to blog. But I hope to get back to at least a couple of posts a week.

This is my current workplace – the (northern) mine in Garpenberg.
I really love my new job as a diamond core driller! This week was my first week underground in a mine, earlier commissions were above ground.
There are two mines in Garpenberg (both owned by Boliden) – Garpenberg north and Garpenberg south, but in 2004 they were connected under ground (at 800-900 meters). You can go down both by car and by the elevators.

I almost missed tonight’s lunar eclipse, but thanks to a local newsfeed (Wighsnews) about the lunar eclipse I managed to get some photos of it.
Lunar Eclipse – 1/25, F13, 55 mm. Cropped.
I tried both with long and short shutter speeds, but with the long ones the photo was way to light (and with that, the eclipse was gone).
I really want to have another lense, I’d love to have a fast, good zoom lense, but they are very expensive… But someday… :)
