A January sunset in Sundet

January 9th, 2009 Peter Korkala Posted in Photo, sky_watch_friday | 8 Comments »

I’m a bit late with my Sky Watch Friday-post this week too, but I didn’t have the time to make the post yesterday. That was good though, because today I hade the chance to get this beautiful sunset captured on (digital) film.

Sundet is a tiny, tiny village between the tiny village Ställdalen and the large village Kopparberg. Sundet means The Strait in Swedish.

The first photo was taken to the east:

And the second photo is to the west:

  1. Two beautiful shots. Fog/mist is very exciting I think. It does something to the pictures and of course to the terrain/nature.
Have a snowy weekend, Peter ;-)

  2. Peter, great shots! Love the fog and mist! Has an almost other-worldly look! Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend!

  3. Wonderful shots!
My fave is the first one with all the fog.

  4. I like how the mist adds a unique quality to the pictures, especially the second one.

  5. Both beautiful shots. I love the fog in the east and the light in the west.

  6. Beautiful photos!! I loved both!!
I am creating a list of Sky Watch friends, I was wondering if I can link your blog too?
    thanks,

  7. Wow Peter these were great ones!

The first one would be awesome on a large poster!
