Gray snow clouds - Sky Watch Friday

December 4th, 2008 Peter Korkala Posted in Photo, sky_watch_friday |

This is what it looks like here today. No blue sky in sight for miles… Not a very good photo for SWF, but I love the snow covered trees!

Update: The photo is not in B/W, it’s in full color…

  1. OK, I am convinced : this is the most grey sky :-)

  2. Winter is great for black and white. I love the softness and rolling mountain.

  3. Not a bad one either. We too are getting very little ble sky at the moment!

  4. I really like the different shades of grey. The hill looks like it’s been covered in powdered sugar. :-)

It was a nice outing, too. =)

  5. Nice one for skywatch! Have an enjoyable weekend! Hope you get time to visit mine too.

  6. This is a very nice winter sky photo … I like the coulour harmony between the grey sky and snow covered trees … Have a pleasant Friday and week-end! :-)

  7. It may not be a sunny summer sky, but it’s a very pretty photo - I like the snow covered trees too! That’s something we don’t see much in Southeast Missouri!

  8. I love the snow covered trees, too.

  9. I thought this was a black & white photo. If not, it’s still beautiful.

  10. I think it’s a great shot. Completely agree with you re the snow.

  11. Happy sky watch Friday
    Love your photo.

  12. Don’t knock it - the image is excellent.

  13. As a black-and-white photo one couldn’t tell what colour the sky is in your shot but it is a very beautiful picture with the rolling three clad hill. I too love the snow covered threes. I whish we had some snow too. Alas what we got about a week ago trnsforming the landscape to a winter wonder land quickly dissapeared again with days of rain to follow.

  14. It’s such a spectacular image.

  15. The photo is in color, not in B/W… :)
I TOLD you the sky is gray…

  16. I think it’s a beautiful photo. It shows winter at her height. The earth is sleeping, the sun doesn’t rule.

  17. Lovely b/w shot for sky watch, Peter.

    Have a nice weekend!

  18. Lovely hillside and there is some shading in the sky as well. Not only blue is beautiful.

  19. I thought I saw a pinkish tinge to the sky? Was it taken around sunset, or am I seeing things again?
I find the image very calming.
    Thanks for sharing!
