Sky watch Friday - Polar stratospheric clouds

This Friday’s Sky Watch Friday photos will be from my archive (I think that’s Ok?), more specific from January 25, 2008. This day I saw a strange phenomena that i’ve never seen before - clouds called Polar stratospheric clouds (read about them on Wikipedia).
They are very impressing, and I took a lot of photos!
I think I need to say that the photos are not Photoshopped, only resized.

I think these are called Sun Dogs but could be wronge here.. what ver they are known by they are however beautiful.

They are quite beautiful and something like the aurora borealis I have seen somewhere.

At wintertime in Norway we occationally have clouds like this - we call them “Nordlys”. Very, very beautiful and great shots! Have a nice weekend:)
